Proud Mama Moments ~ Princess at school

Princess has had an amazing week at school this week. She's been nailing everything she puts her mind to, from maths to handwriting, and has been putting in her very best effort with her homework too.

So I'm dedicating this week's Proud Mama Moments to her, so she can have a little show off space on my blog.

On Wednesday she was the Star Writer of the day.
She was chosen out of her class to showcase her work and was given a certificate at the end of the day.

On Friday she was the Student of the Week.
Her name was called in Assembly to go up onstage and accept her certificate.

What a great week.
I would love to hear some of your Proud Mama Moments from this week.
Feel free to link up below with your posts so I can drop by your blog and celebrate with you.

Proud Mama Moments

This week gave me lots of Proud Mama Moments. On Sunday we watched the kids give their all at the Surf to City.

Boy was selected for his school's "Gifted and Talented Education" Programme. He told me "My teacher has finally recognised my inner intelligence" and then he kinda laughed it off. I was proud. He's a legend.

Wiseguy heard about it and gave him a Big Brother Talk about grabbing hold of every opportunity he can this year and giving it everything. About how this year and the next will determine how people see him, and how his high school experience will unfold, as he builds his reputation by the choices that he makes. I stood spectating, and just listening to his long speech, thinking 'wow, he's so mature!' I was proud. He's amazing.

Princess reached out to a new girl at her school that she new was having a hard time adjusting, made friends with her and tried to help her break out of her shyness. I was proud. She's so kind.

She also worked her butt off all week on her homework, and practiced her maths for the end-of-week quiz until she nailed it in under three minutes. On Friday at test time she was the first to finish, despite starting the week slow. Her teacher displayed her homework book as an example to the class. She was so proud of herself, it made me smile and high-five and hug and kiss. She's awesome.

Froggie learned a bunch of new words, and used them properly. He planted on me thousands of kisses and cuddles and made my days beautiful. He ran almost 2km at the Surf to City, because no-one told him he couldn't. He was his usual boisterous and inquisitive self. I was proud. He's adorable.

I'd love to hear some of your 'Proud Mama Moments' from this week. Feel free to link up your posts below, so that I (and others) can visit and be proud right along with you! Please link back to me on your post, and if you want you can even display the button somewhere on your blog J

OK I seriously don't have time for this, but I so enjoy this linky that I just had to.

Here's a quick list of the Thing's I'm Loving right now...

Loving... that Froggie is learning to use a bunch of new words. He's copying EVERYTHING and getting it right most of the time.

Loving... that Hubby is getting back to doing what he loves and working with youth again.

Loving... that I can talk to my sisters every day.

Loving... that my kids have made a good start to the school year and seem to be enjoying themselves.

Loving... playing 4 Pictures, 1 Word on Hubby's new phone (that game is sooo addictive!).

Loving... that my mother is FINALLY changing her doctor!

Loving... finding things to love in what has been a hectic week.

Loving... that it's bedtime! I'm so sleepy zzzzzzz....
